COVID UPDATE (OCT. 2023)

There are a couple updates regarding COVID-19 protocols

  • Students who test positive should isolate for at least 5 days and may discontinue isolation and return on day 6 IF symptoms are mild and improving or resolved, AND fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication. NEGATIVE TEST IS NOT REQUIRED FOR CLEARANCE TO RETURN.
  • If fever/symptoms are still present after day 5, isolation should be continued until symptoms are mild and improving or resolved, AND fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication, or until after day 10.

  •  The first symptom day or first positive day (whichever came first) would be day 0.

  • It is strongly recommended that students wear a mask both indoors and outdoors through day 10 but there is no mask mandate currently. Students who are leaving isolation after day 5 may remove their mask if they test negative twice, one day apart.

  • Students who are part of the group that was exposed may remain in school unless they develop symptoms or test positive. It is recommended to test after 3-5 days of exposure.
